BRACKET CHALLENGE
Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin
This fall, Wisconsin Business World is putting a classroom spin on WMC’s annual Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin competition with our NEW Coolest in the Classroom Bracket Challenge!
When the official Top 16 Wisconsin-made products are announced, students will work with their classrooms to predict which products will advance through each round—and which one will ultimately be crowned the 2026 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin.
Three lucky classrooms with the highest scoring winning brackets will win a PIZZA PARTY!
Bracket Challenge
How It Works
Who Can Enter
One classroom = one bracket.
Teachers with multiple participating classes or class periods may submit a separate bracket for each class.
Requirements
Have your students explore the Top 16 products at www.madeinwis.com, learn about the Wisconsin companies behind them and then make their predictions together as a class.
Your class will predict the entire tournament in advance—from the opening matchups all the way through its pick for the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin.
Scoring
Correct predictions earn increasingly more points as the competition progresses:
- Top 16: 1 point per correct pick
- Top 8: 2 points per correct pick
- Top 4: 4 points per correct pick
- Championship: 8 points for correctly predicting the winner
- *Perfect Bracket* = 32 Points!

Helpful Tips
COOLEST IN THE CLASSROOM and the COOLEST THING MADE IN WISCONSIN CONTEST are two separate competitions—and we want your students to participate in BOTH!
- Coolest in the Classroom is a classroom prediction challenge ONLY OPEN to K-12 classrooms in Wisconsin. Your CLASSROOM will complete one bracket predicting which products they think will advance.
- Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin is WMC’s official public, statewide competition. Students should visit madeinwis.com during each round to cast their actual votes for the products they want to advance. Students can INDIVIDUALLY vote in the competition!
Submitting a classroom bracket does not count as voting in the official competition.
