Manufacturing Inspirations Day

April 5 @ 7:30 am - 1:45 pm

Manufacturing Inspirations Day

An interactive career fair

A Celebration of Business in Wisconsin!

ABOUT MANUFACUTRING INSPIRATIONS DAY

Manufacturers from across the state are invited to participate in our interactive fair. Contrary to the traditional “sit and get” career fairs, we want manufacturers to bring activities that will engage the students and help them better understand exactly what your company does. Ideally the activities will apply in some way to your organization (such as a carpenter bringing 2×4’s, hammers, and nails for kids to have nail races), however, anything to get the students active and having fun will work as well.

Manufacturing Inspirations Day

FAQ

WHO: We need YOU, Manufacturers with facilities throughout Wisconsin, to help us showcase career opportunities and the cool things we manufacture in our state to 2,000 7-12th grade students from all across Southeastern Wisconsin.

WHERE: Muskego High School

WHEN: April 5th, 2022 7:30AM-1:45PM.  Set-up will begin at 6:00AM.

WHY:

The benefit to Manufacturers: Recognition for your company, better knowledge among students about your industry, and sparked interest about working at your organization in the future.

As surprising as it may sound, 7-12th graders are not always aware of the manufacturing companies in their backyards much less the state. Even if they have heard of your company, chances are they don’t know what exactly you do or the day-to-day processes required to produce your product. This event will give you a chance to teach students about the cool things your organization does and spark their interest in a future career.

The benefit to students: Students will learn about a wide range of manufacturing careers available across our state while having fun.  There will be follow-up activities provided for the students who attend to keep them engaged and talking about what they learned at the event about your business and the opportunities for them as they think about Youth Apprenticeships and future careers.

LOGISTICS:

The event will take place outdoors.  Students will rotate through the day in 90-minute overlapping sessions to help control the flow so each student will have the opportunity to engage with your team.  We will have a large tent available to house your exhibit.  Additionally, if you are bringing a trailer and/or need more room for your activity, we have two large parking lots on either side of the tent that will be used to house large equipment/activities.  Please let us know how much space you will need and if you will need power so we can be sure to accommodate accordingly.   Tables and chairs will be provided.  We will also offer a pizza lunch for all exhibitors.

Pricing: There is no cost to attend.
