Founded in 1982, Business World has taught over 25,000 Wisconsin high school students about business, entrepreneurship and the free enterprise system.
WMC Foundation is partnering with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation and area chambers of commerce across Wisconsin to host a statewide civics competition. Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades wrote essays and competed in regional bees in partnership with local chambers of commerce. The winners of these bees are competing for a chance to represent Wisconsin at the National Civics Bee in Washington, D.C., this fall.
Our four-day, three night Business World Summer Camps encourage students to explore new career paths, enhance their business education and to engage with executive business leaders from all across the state while test-driving a college campus. And, even though the days are jam-packed with learning, creative and networking opportunities, we leave time for the students to unwind during factory tours, socials and supervised evening free-time activities.
Our Focus on Manufacturing Breakfast will highlight important issues facing manufacturers in 2022! Our keynote speaker will be WMC President and CEO, Kurt Bauer. His remarks will provide a comprehensive overview of the year ahead, the effects of this past year’s national and state public policy, and an economic outlook on the trends expected to impact manufacturers in 2022.
His keynote remarks will be followed by a reaction panel of Wisconsin manufacturing executives facilitated by WMC Vice President of Membership & Partnerships, Wade Goodsell. The panel will discuss lessons learned from last year’s challenges and things to watch in 2021, workforce best practices and Wisconsin’s long-term economic competitiveness.

The Women in Business Forum is a thoughtfully curated luncheon focused on leadership and insight among women executives and emerging leaders.

The Future Wisconsin Executive Retreat brings together top executives from Wisconsin’s premier companies at The American Club in Kohler. Over this two-day gathering, discussions amongst an intimate group of thought leaders and industry experts will center on topics including workforce, health care, education and Wisconsin’s economic future.
