MADISON – Wisconsin Business World announced the winners of the Spring 2022 Business is a Force for Good essay contest. The contest prompted Wisconsin students to write an essay on the important role that businesses play within their community and how they’ve witnessed local companies be a “force for good.”
The winners of the Business is a Force for Good Essay Contest:
“Businesses are so much more than the products they sell. Businesses are families, businesses are charities and businesses are communities,” said Senior Director of Wisconsin Business World Michelle Grajkowski. “It is always an honor for Wisconsin Business World to incentivize students to engage with Wisconsin companies to learn firsthand how they are used as a force for good in their local communities.”
The winning essays identified Culver’s, Schroeder’s Trucking and McDonald’s as local businesses that were a force for good in the community. Each essay highlighted how Wisconsin companies valued their employees, participated in the community and donated time and money back to local causes.
The contest was open to Wisconsin students in grades 6 –12. All projects were submitted between April 15 – June 19, 2022. The winners receive a $500 cash prize.
Since 1982, Wisconsin Business World – a program of WMC Foundation – has educated more than 25,000 high school students on business, entrepreneurism and the free market, through Summer Camps, one-day programs, online curriculum and classroom presentations.
